Week Featuring Nonie Crete and Eugene Rae.
Nonie was born
and raise in Penetanguishene Ont. and Eugene was born and raised in Newry
Ireland. Both love all kinds of music and have collaborated their talents to
make their own.
As a singer-songwriter she has released 7 albums to date and has two in the
works at present with her musical partner Eugene Rea. As a blues musician
she has performed at major festivals across Canada, and shared the stage
with some of the greats. Nonie is a member of the all-women blues band Grand
Ladies of the Blues who have been creating a sensation everywhere they
perform for the last couple of years. As a Celtic performer Nonie has toured
in Ireland with Clannad and Altan, and has appeared at major festivals
throughout Canada. Known as the hardest working musician in the KW area she
and Eugene travel extensively from the East to West coasts of Canada and
have appeared on TV and radio many times. Nonie has opened for Tommy Makem,
Blind Boys of Alabama, Tony McManus

Once the Open Stage host at Free Times Cafe for a number of years, Glen
writes songs about love, heartache, and homelessness. Always an entertaining
performer, Glen is frequently seen at music jams, open mic nights, folk
festivals and benefits. He is working on a soon-to-be released CD.”
